But what do you do???

June 25, 2009 by Jonathan Lockwood

puzzledRead books… Watch DVDs… Attend events… Go to Meetups… All great ways to learn more about the Law of Attraction.  But if you’re like me, at some point you realize that a significant portion of your time is spent talking and not doing. As I travel the United States, in search of remarkable LoA Success Stories, I find people who simply love talking about the subject and communing with other enthusiasts.  But I guess I’d say that I don’t find them with very much confidence in an actual process for attracting what they want.

I’d say I’m constantly inspired by the Abraham-Hicks material, and I do find so much within it that’s very useful in actual application.  I also appreciate Michael Losier’s excellent, nuts-and-bolts book, “Law of Attraction.”  And, as you’ve read here before, Joe Dispenza’s approach to meditation to “change your mind and create a new one” has been tremendously valuable.

And what about you?  What actual methods (as opposed to general concepts) have been most helpful in actually applying the Law of Attraction in your life?  Affirmations?  Meditation?  Do you apply these things daily?  More than once daily?

For the benefit of our readers, what do you actually do???

Hey, have you seen this news article?
New details about Michael Jackson’s Death Emerge
I was wondering if you were going to blog about this…

    • Yes, Michael. I thought about writing something last night, as I spent most of the evening watching the retrospective on Jackson’s life. I’ve been trying to put my finger on why the more widely popular a celebrity is, the more deeply we feel about his or her passing. We seem to have something tied up–or projected onto them. In reflecting on Michael and his life, I’ve often just felt sad for him. But what an amazing entertainer!

I have a pad of paper right next to my bed and the second after the alarm wakes me up I write down either 3 to 4 goals, or a sentence or 2 of how I want the day to play out. I don’t turn on any lights, or look at the page. When I am done I roll over and wait for the snooze alarm to go off before I actually get my day going. Because I am still in that groggy state most of the time I don’t remember what I write down, until I go to bed that evening.

Some goals short term, for the day, are thing such as,
    -I will meet someone new
-I will take current project to level X
-I will have a great conversation with X
    -I will obtain more money
-When I go out with X person downtown and will find a good parking spot for free

On the top of the page I write down some long term goals for the month such as
-I will change my thought process to have a more PMA
    -I will smile constantly
-I will have harder work ethic
-I will develop new friendships and stronger networks
Everything I write as a day goal, during that groggy stage, must fit into one of these categories.

The biggest thing is once I return to bed later that evening, or early morning, I review the goals and to my astonishment they almost always come true. I will than write down a recap of the day of what worked and what didn’t.

The short term goals above are what I wrote down yesterday morning. The results shocked even me when I reviewed them. Here were the outcomes. I was able to get our newest expansion at work finished, my boss gave me a raise and a 9% bonus based off of salary for last years performance of positive growth. I was also able to meet up with one of my best friends from Milwaukee whom I haven’t seen in 6th month’s downtown with a great parking spot! To top it off I meet a cute girl whom I have a date with early next week!

I see the LofA kind of like going to the gym. With the gym you won’t get in shape if you don’t make that mental decision to go. Than you have small steps to get you there, you have to buy clothing, water bottles, and health supplements that fit you. Once in the gym what work outs fit you, what education do you need, and than finally there is action and actually working out. Sometimes you won’t see results until a few weeks later which can be discouraging, but if you stick to the plan it is almost a guarantee that you will achieve your fitness goals. Sound familiar to the LofA?

I have always had success with the LofA even before I knew it existed; however I think the first thing you need to have is mental action to use it! Unless you make a commitment to yourself and hold yourself accountable with it, nothing will happen. The next thing is what education do you need and finally a goal to put into action.

    Hi, Jonathan

    My 2 cents ….

Wealth is not the problem, the action of hording, accumulating, and storing are. When one’s focus is service, wealth happens. It needs no hording for the wealth to happen. The more people we service, the more energy return to us, and the more we can give back out and share with others.

With the level of consciousness 2 thousand years ago, those who accumulated significant wealth, most likely had done so harming (or taken advantage) of others.

When nowadays human consciousness raised to the level of a very good understanding of “Do onto others”, we no longer need ten commandment type of rules and laws to govern our behaviors. When wealth is a result of “do onto others”, The world will be a beautiful place. :o)

My personal experience has always been “changing myself” to change the world around me. I look at what I have attracted before, and actively changing my mental image and past emotional programs so that I can manifest different things.

The more I am stressed out, the more stuff I attract to stress me out. so I would always have to make peace with my fears…. so that I no longer attract what i fear.

Abundance come many ways, money is certainly not the only one. I found that I get many services I needed bartered and/or just show up. I do not say NO to the universe. I open to receive invitation from others, and receive any form of abundance…

It has been working really nicely in my life. :o)

Ps, the last post was meant to be for the Christian and Wealth. Also, you may want to consider getting some CDs from http://www.daleallenhoffman.com, who is a very enlightened Aramaic Scholar. I have taken a couple of his workshop in the original Aramaic Bible. They were awesome.

  5. Hey Sunny! Thanks for coming back and commenting. Hope things are super-duper for you!
